Eden\u2019s commitment to her business and community goes hand in hand, as she is a business owner and an active volunteer in her church\u2019s Operation Christmas Child program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regarding her motivation, Eden said, \u201cI have always had a passion for helping\u00a0others. When I was introduced to the Operation Christmas Child program years ago, I knew I wanted to do something to help.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The program involves filling shoeboxes with toys, toiletries, school supplies, and more, which are then sent to children in various countries around the world, along with a heartfelt message full of hope. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eden shared, \u201cI promote and assist the program at my church, where we sort and assemble supplies to be shipped around the world.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite her busy schedule, Eden maintains her involvement in these activities, thanks to her time management skills and dedication to her passion.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n She explained, \u201cI focus on one thing at a time. I pick a topic I\u2019m passionate about, write, and practice my speech until I\u2019m confident in my presentation.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n Her impressive public speaking skills have earned her first place in the Franklin County 4-H Public Speaking contest for three consecutive years, a remarkable feat for anyone, let alone a young tween. In her spare time, she enjoys caring for her dog, Toby, who serves as her inspiration for Doodle Dandy\u2019s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n She shared, \u201cI looked online and found a recipe for dog treats I had made for Toby a few times before. After testing them and finding out my dog loved them, I decided to start making more and selling them.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n Her mother, Jennifer, is an excellent source of support. Eden even cited her as her biggest role model.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMy mom has always been there for me and supported me through all my activities,\u201d Eden said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Jennifer added, \u201cWe\u2019re just so proud of everything she does. We just want to keep encouraging her and telling her that the sky\u2019s the limit on anything she can do.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n Eden shared her vision for the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI would like to expand more into dog treats in the future and create a pantry where we give food donations to owners in need. This would be a great way to keep our shelters from being overrun and help animals in our community.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n Eden\u2019s hometown, Franklin County, holds a special place in her heart. She sees it as a close-knit community that has shaped her values and commitment to making a positive impact. <\/p>\n\n\n\n She concluded, \u201cI am proud of my community and how they have helped me become who I am today.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n Young Eden\u2019s story is one of dedication, compassion, and the power of pursuing one\u2019s passions to make a difference. Her achievements at such a young age represent what can be accomplished when one follows their heart and prioritizes giving back to the community.
