Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) Welcome (formally Womens) Club Farewell Tea, 10:30 a.m., Thursday May 4th, 2023
The AEDC Welcome (formally Womens) Club Farewell Tea celebrating an era spanning 70 years of friendship, fellowship and philanthropy will be held at the Arnold Air Force Engineering Development Center (AEDC). This terrific Club hosted on AEDC has been a mainstay in the surrounding communities of Tullahoma and Manchester in Coffee County and Winchester, Franklin County. Over the years, when these communities were not as populous as today, we had a membership of 200 women and were a wheel horse supporting all kinds of activities, to include Variety shows, Fashion shows, choral concerts, plays, bridge groups, etc. One of our Club highlights has been our effort and dedication to providing scholarships to local High School students in their pursuit of a college/university degree.
For all 70 years, we have hosted our meetings at the Lakeside Club on the Arnold Air Force Base AEDC complex.
