This month, <strong>Krys Midgett<\/strong> visited <strong>Dur\u0107i Chocolate.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AS FORREST Gump\u2019s mom said, \u201cLife is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you\u2019re gonna get.\u201d When my friend suggested we meet at Dur\u0107i Chocolate for lunch, my first thought was, &#8220;Chocolate for lunch? You don\u2019t have to ask me twice!&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019d like to say I\u2019ve never had chocolate for lunch, but a candy bar on the go has happened. It is a chocolate factory and a cafe where they make everything from scratch. They get their heirloom cocoa beans straight from farmers and use pure cane sugar to make the chocolate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I started with the buffalo chicken grilled cheese. The chicken is seasoned with a house cocoa rub and simmered in a delicious, tangy buffalo sauce. Add melted cheese between fresh sourdough, and it was perfect. My side was fresh fruit and a frozen hot chocolate that was smooth, sweet, and tasted like Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/lebanon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/09\/2-2-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22973\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/lebanon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/09\/2-2-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/lebanon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/09\/2-2-980x653.jpg 980w, https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/lebanon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/09\/2-2-480x320.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>My friend had the caprese flatbread \u2014 a warm naan topped with basil pesto, juicy tomatoes, melted mozzarella, and a drizzle of chocolate balsamic reduction. He also ordered a chocolate soda \u2014 an Italian cream soda made with chocolate. Fizzy, creamy, and fun, it was a sweet surprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/lebanon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/09\/4-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22972\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/lebanon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/09\/4-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/lebanon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/09\/4-980x653.jpg 980w, https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/lebanon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/09\/4-480x320.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We shared the coconut cream pie. It was topped with a chocolate flower that was almost too pretty to eat. The chocolate shell gave it just the right crunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you love chocolate, this place is worth the trip. They use it in ways you would never expect, and somehow it all just works.
