A VERSE, A WHIM, AND A LEAP OF FAITH<\/strong> \u201cI didn\u2019t want to disappoint God by being lukewarm anymore,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That dedication to the Lord led Chambers through some dark times that included divorce, a change in jobs, and taking on the role of being a single mother. Even in her darkest hour, Chambers stayed true to her faith and fought through the bad days, with things beginning to improve. In 2022, she packed her life into boxes and followed what she could only describe as a \u201cnudge from God.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI was reading my Bible and reading the Song of Solomon,\u201d she said. \u201cThere\u2019s a Scripture that says, \u2018My bride come with me to Lebanon,\u2019 and I had never been to Lebanon, Tennessee. I didn\u2019t even know that there was such a place. I wrote in my Bible next to the verse \u2018TN?\u2019 That was in 2020.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n While seeming more like a coincidence than anything, Chambers said the verse stuck with her nevertheless. For two years, that verse remained in her mind, until one day she decided to see what might happen if she just listened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After spending more than 14 years in radio sales in Northwest Indiana, Chambers decided, on what she called a \u201cwhim of faith,\u201d to explore the idea of retiring in Tennessee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI called a mortgage guy to see what I\u2019d qualify for, and the next thing you know, I\u2019m looking at houses and putting in an offer,\u201d she explained. \u201cI told my boss I eventually want to retire and maybe Airbnb the place while going back and forth. He said, \u2018OK, just don\u2019t quit.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Born out of prayer and curiosity, her decision set her life on a new path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n THE COMMUNITY THAT TURNED INTO HOME \u201cI asked if he was a cowboy because I had horses in Indiana and wanted to bring them here,\u201d she explained. \u201cHe owned land that was once the old Lewis Knowles homestead. He offered to sell it. I called my mom and said, \u2018I want both. I don\u2019t know how, but God, I want both.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n It sounded impossible at the time, but Chambers had learned that faith and fear can\u2019t occupy the same space. She took a chance and asked if she could buy the farm on contract for two years before securing her own mortgage. To her surprise, he agreed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI went from renting a single-wide trailer at my girlfriend\u2019s horse farm in Indiana to owning two properties in Lebanon,\u201d she said. \u201cI fell in love with the community. God is everywhere. He\u2019s in the people, the shops, the boutiques.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Lebanon community quickly became more than a place, it became home. Chambers found herself surrounded by kind faces, supportive neighbors, and fellow believers who welcomed her with open arms. She made friends with everyone; from local shop owners to small business owners who shared her faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Today, Chambers still works for ShineFM radio station, a ministry of Olivet Nazarene Unversity, and travels back to Indiana regularly to visit clients and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI love what I do for them. I love the ministry. I love the music that keeps the devil away. Worship is our weapon,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For her, radio is a calling. A way to spread hope and remind people that even when life gets messy, there\u2019s power in praising through the storm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n FROM STRUGGLES TO STRENGTH \u201cThere were times I felt alone, like God was silent,\u201d she said. \u201cBut even in those moments, He was working. I just couldn\u2019t see it yet.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Through every trial and obstacle, Chambers said it has only strengthened her belief that God\u2019s timing is always perfect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI\u2019ve learned that trusting God doesn\u2019t mean life will be easy,\u201d she said. \u201cIt means you\u2019ll never walk through it alone. I\u2019ve learned that when you trust Him, even when you can\u2019t see the whole picture, He\u2019ll take you exactly where you\u2019re meant to be. <\/strong>It didn\u2019t take long for Lebanon to capture Chambers\u2019 heart. While having lunch with a friend in Mt.
