That perspective was shaped long before he entered the real estate industry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jared and Hollie had traveled to Uganda on mission trips, where they met families living in poverty and saw firsthand what it meant to be overlooked by the rest of the world. The experience stayed with him. Yet when he returned home, he realized something important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou didn\u2019t have to go to places like this to find people who needed some help,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Need existed much closer than he had imagined. Instead of looking across oceans, he began looking across neighborhoods. He quickly found families in Middle Tennessee who were facing barriers that had little to do with finances and everything to do with navigating an unfamiliar system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the first families Jared helped was a Latin American immigrant family. As he worked alongside them, he realized that language \u2014 not desire or work ethic \u2014 was becoming one of the biggest obstacles to homeownership. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThey weren\u2019t really being heard,\u201d he said. Jared doesn\u2019t speak Spanish. So instead of allowing that limitation to become someone else\u2019s burden, he found a solution. Today, he has intentionally built a team that reflects the community he serves. Two of his agents immigrated from Africa, while another came from Mexico and speaks Spanish fluently. This means there\u2019s a team that speaks English, Spanish, Swahili, Luganda, and Arabic. For Jared, that wasn\u2019t simply a hiring decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was an opportunity to ensure families could navigate one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives in the language they know best. Communication builds trust, he believes, and trust makes all the difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n One story continues to stay with him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n A Congolese pastor had been working with another real estate agent before eventually connecting with Jared. After viewing only three homes, the previous agent had grown impatient. Feeling pressured, the family believed they had little choice but to purchase the fourth house they toured. Unfortunately, it wasn\u2019t the right fit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As a pastor who regularly welcomes large groups into his home, the house simply didn\u2019t meet his family\u2019s needs. No one had taken the time to truly understand what was important to them. That experience reinforced exactly why Jared believes every client deserves patience and respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Later, the pastor thanked him in words Jared has never forgotten. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThank God for you and what you do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Moments like that remind Jared why he entered the profession. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI want people to feel taken care of,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That commitment extends to everyone who walks through his office doors, regardless of where they come from, the language they speak, or the color of their skin. To Jared, buying a home is about much more than real estate. It represents stability and security. It\u2019s a place where families can build memories and know they belong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n His company\u2019s name, Refiner Realty, reflects that philosophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cGod is the ultimate refiner,\u201d Jared said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He explained that refining is the process of taking raw metal and removing impurities until something valuable and useful emerges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe real estate process and industry need refinement,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n For Jared, refinement means making the home-buying process more accessible, more transparent, and more welcoming for people who have traditionally felt excluded from it. His goal isn\u2019t to lower standards but to remove unnecessary barriers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That mission influences everything from the way his team communicates with clients to the relationships they build within immigrant and refugee communities throughout Middle Tennessee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Whether someone is purchasing their very first home or investing in property, Jared wants every client to know they are valued. Buying a home can feel overwhelming under the best circumstances. For families navigating a new language, a new culture, and unfamiliar legal processes, it can feel nearly impossible.
