This month, <strong>Krys Midgett<\/strong> visited <\/em><strong><em>Gyro &amp; Philly Steak<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recently, two different friends recommended Gyro &amp; Philly Steak. Based on the name alone, I might not have chosen it if it hadn\u2019t come so highly recommended. The name says it all \u2014 they specialize in gyros and Philly steak. The menu offers several other options, though; someone walked by with a chicken quesadilla that looked amazing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/lebanon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2026\/10\/1-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24111\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/lebanon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2026\/10\/1-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/lebanon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2026\/10\/1-1-980x653.jpg 980w, https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/lebanon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2026\/10\/1-1-480x320.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My friend Linda suggested this place for lunch, and I\u2019m glad she did. Guess what we ordered? A gyro and a Philly cheesesteak! I also got the stuffed grape leaves, and she ordered onion rings. We shared everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She loved the gyro. My favorite was the cheesesteak. The gyro was a mix of lamb, cucumbers, tomatoes, and a delicious, creamy cucumber dip. The cheesesteak was warm and piled high with gooey cheese, sauteed onions and peppers, and the bread was especially soft. The onion rings came out perfectly crisp, never soggy. The grape leaves were served cold and had a unique flavor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/lebanon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2026\/10\/2-2-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24112\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/lebanon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2026\/10\/2-2-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/lebanon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2026\/10\/2-2-980x653.jpg 980w, https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/lebanon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2026\/10\/2-2-480x320.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Carlos and the rest of the staff were very helpful. From the outside, it looks like any other place tucked into a strip mall, but inside, it was clean and welcoming. Linda liked watching the staff prepare her food, and she loved the fresh salad bar, where she could pick your own toppings for your gyro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This review is a lesson in not judging a book by its cover.
