OUR TEACHERS go above and beyond expectations to ensure their students succeed. Over the past year, our teachers have faced unique challenges from school closings, remote learning, and the dangers of COVID-19. Their challenges don\u2019t end there. Did you know that teachers also buy most of the supplies in their classrooms with their own money? As you can imagine, these costs add up! Newton Motor Group wants to relieve some of this burden from our local teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the start of a new school year, Newton Motor Group was inspired to thank our teachers for their hard work by taking action! The automotive group is hosting a classroom supply drive for local teachers at their dealerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The four middle TN dealerships are asking that the community drop off supplies, ranging from Amazon gift cards to the more traditional pens and pencils, at any of their showrooms. Donations will be accepted through September 30th, when the supplies will be distributed to individual teachers located around the area. The group is also accepting nominations for teachers local to any of the four dealerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Distribution is dependent on the amount of donations; every nominated teacher may not receive supplies. The community can nominate teachers at\u00a0https:\/\/forms.gle\/WVL4DWPMKF83nwfr6<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This teacher appreciation supply drive is part of a larger effort by Newton Motor Group to make a positive impact on their community. Past efforts include assistance with blood drives, secret Santa gift donations, and hosting trunk-or-treat events for local families.
