This month, <strong>Tabitha Buckner<\/strong> visited <\/em><strong><em>The Albatross Cafe.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>THE ALBATROSS Cafe doesn\u2019t shout for attention \u2014 it doesn\u2019t have to. Situated in Tullahoma, it carries itself with the ease of a place that knows exactly what it\u2019s doing and trusts word of mouth to do the rest. It\u2019s the kind of spot where lunch feels less like a meal and more like a brief pause from the world \u2014 a place to think, taste, and maybe fall a little in love with simple, good food again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Double Bogey Burger is the first indication that this kitchen plays offense. Thick, juicy, and stacked with personality, it\u2019s the kind of burger you almost need both hands \u2014 and a short moment of emotional readiness \u2014 to tackle. It holds that familiar comfort of a backyard grill-out, but leveled up with intention. They don\u2019t just nudge the palate \u2014 they announce themselves with a heat that builds, balances, then invites you back for the next bite. Dipped in ranch and paired with their housemade chips, the meal is craveable perfection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting with the fried cheese, meanwhile, felt like a warm handshake. Simple, golden, and gooey where it matters.
