Legend is a very talented artist. I noticed it right away when I had him as a student last year. He would fill up sketchbooks with his own work as well as complete the classroom assignments. I see a very bright future in the arts for him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Scholastic Art &amp; Writing Awards are presented by the Alliance for Young Artists &amp; Writers. The Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprof\u2011 it organization whose mission is to identify U.S. and Canadian students with exceptional artistic and literary talent and present their remarkable work to the world through the Scholastic Art &amp; Writing Awards. In 2025, nearly 110,000 students across the United States and Canada entered more than 310,000 original works in 28 categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/tullahoma\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/04\/1-4-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24979\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/tullahoma\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/04\/1-4-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/tullahoma\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/04\/1-4-980x653.jpg 980w, https:\/\/goodnewsmags.com\/tullahoma\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/04\/1-4-480x320.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Tipps received the Silver Key Award for his drawing titled \u201cPantagruel\u2019s Drolatic Dream of Candy.\u201d According to Tipps, his artwork is based on the original idea behind the Candy Land game. He expanded on that narrative and added his own twist, including a touch of the eerie with a bit of whimsy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While receiving the Silver Key Award, Tipps will also have his artwork on display at the Middle Tennessee Scholastic Art Exhibition at Cheekwood Estate &amp; Gardens in Nashville.
