She said that the problem the museum keeps facing is that community members often think it\u2019s a private event, but they welcome anyone who\u2019s willing to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s a rare opportunity to be in the presence of world-class aviators and extremely rare planes. There is a $50 entrance fee per day, but if you\u2019re under 29 years old it\u2019s only $20 a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We have a lot of really rare aircraft flying in from all across the country and world,\u201d Curtis said. \u201cIt\u2019s a fun and exciting event.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This was Curtis\u2019s 25th year at the \u201cbeech\u201d party. She has been a volunteer, a director, and now is the executive vice president of the Beechcraft Heritage Museum. “I come because it\u2019s a fascinating group of people with aircraft in a small and contained area right here in Tullahoma, Tennessee,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Beechcraft Heritage Museum located on Old Shelbyville Highway is open year-round to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
