THE MILL at Christmas, one of Lebanon’s largest locally hosted holiday events returned Nov. 7–8 with two days of festive shopping, family activities, and community celebration — all under one roof. The annual event has steadily grown over the past decade and continues to draw crowds from across Wilson County.
“It definitely was bigger this year. It gets bigger every year,” said longtime event coordinator Laura Comer.

“We had over 140 vendors… people really do look forward to this annual event.”
Friday, Nov. 7, kicked off with Sip & Shop from 4 to 9 p.m., now free for all attendees. Shoppers could browse thousands of gift ideas and enjoy specialty drinks and holiday bites. “Friday is a great girls night out,” Comer said.

Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., focused on families. Children’s crafts, activities, and fun with glitter tattoos ran from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with Balloons of Pure Awesomeness creating custom balloon art from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Santa arrived at noon, ready for photos. This year’s special guests included the Grinch, Cindy Lou, Max the dog, Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elves.
The event featured a wide variety of local vendors, including several new participants and small businesses. A long list of community sponsors contributes each year, helping to fund activities, entertainment, and amenities such as the complimentary shuttle service from the train station provided by the Wilson County Omegas — a feature that Comer said makes the event “easy and enjoyable for the shoppers.”

The Mill at Christmas is traditionally held the first full weekend of November. Event photos, vendors, and updates can be found on Facebook at The Mill at Christmas. GN
