IN 2020, Bradley and Raye Drach opened their land in Flintville to host the first Bear Wallow Marketplace. Though the marketplace initially began as a small gathering, it has quickly grown into one of the area’s most anticipated community events. Now Bear Wallow Marketplace draws in neighbors, families, and visitors from across the county to enjoy a day of community fellowship.

Drach mentioned, “The marketplace is more than just a venue for buying and selling, it’s a celebration of creativity, good food, and all things local.”
Vendors showcase handcrafted goods, homemade treats, and unique items that reflect the character of the town. Alongside the shopping, guests enjoy reconnecting with friends, meeting new people, and soaking in the welcoming atmosphere that makes the marketplace feel so special.

For the Drach family, the vision was always bigger than simply creating a market. From the beginning, they hoped to establish a gathering place where people could come together, share their gifts, and support one another. The response from the community has exceeded expectations. Each year, more vendors join in, more families attend, and more memories are made.
What sets Bear Wallow Marketplace apart is the spirit behind it. Many who attend note that it feels less like an event and more like a family reunion, where neighbors swap stories, kids play freely, and everyone feels welcome. It’s a reminder of the power of community, how coming together over simple things like food, music, and handmade goods can strengthen bonds and uplift spirits.

As Bear Wallow Marketplace continues to grow, the hope is that it will remain a cherished tradition for years to come.
