THE TULLAHOMA Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) hosted its annual Women Impacting the Community awards luncheon on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, sponsored by SmartBank. The event celebrates local women who make a difference in the community. This year, the selection committee received a record 92 nominations, reflecting the number of talented, service-minded women who live and work in Tullahoma.

TACC President Emily Raths and Executive Board member Joanna Reynolds opened the program with inspiring words of welcome. Past President James Fuller introduced a new format for this year: Instead of a keynote speaker, attendees heard from a three-generation panel moderated by Fuller. The panel included Brenda Cannon of Motlow State Community College, journalist and Odinn Media founder Kristin Luna, and Maggie Lynch, the 2025 Distinguished Young Woman of Tullahoma and senior class president for Tullahoma High School’s Class of 2026.
TaShonna Russell Starr, a local mortgage loan officer with New American Funding and a 2026 graduate of the Coffee County Leadership Program through the chamber, said attending the event is uplifting and motivational.

“This was my third time attending this event. Each year, I am inspired in a different way from women who are pillars in our community in ways I didn’t know I needed to hear,” Starr said.
Chamber Executive Director Hope Nunley led the awards presentation, recognizing 12 finalists across four categories before announcing the winners: Amy Morris, business; Amy Dodson, education; Florence Hull, community service; and Nancy Fuller, lifetime achievement.

“As the chamber, we believe thriving communities are built through collaboration, leadership, and service, and this event reflects all three,” Nunley said. “Women Impacting the Community celebrates the individuals who are creating positive change and investing their time and talents into making our community better for everyone.” GN
