THE EXPANSIVE porch of Cascade Hollow Distilling Co. (George Dickel Distillery) transforms into an outdoor stage for spirited live music during Front Porch Fridays, held monthly from May to October each year. Visitors are invited to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets to spread on the lawn in front of the stage, and seating is first-come, first-served. The venue opens to the public at 5 p.m., with music from 5:30 to 7:30.
As the band kicks off the night’s entertainment, friends and family can lounge and listen under a twilight sky. Each event features a food truck serving delicious dinner options, along with specialty cocktails from the distillery. These events bring people together through their shared love of music and Dickel whisky.

“We at George Dickel love our connection to the community and to great music,” said Jonathan Janis, George Dickel’s brand home manager. “We are a brand that has a long history of being rooted in music; We even sponsored Merle Haggard!”
This year’s talent lineup has included Chris Hennessee, Jenny Teator, Mason Via, and, most recently, Tawnya Reynolds, a country singer from Nashville, on Aug. 15.

“It was a wonderful night to enjoy a concert on the lawn!” Jen Hixon, one of the attendees, said. “Tawnya’s beautiful voice and song selection made it easy to sing along.”
Two Front Porch Friday events are left in the season: Ryan Kinder will be performing on Sept. 19, and the last event for 2025 will be Oct. 17 (band TBD).

“This is a way of connecting our community with music and to showcase our beautiful property, Cascade Hollow,” Janis said. “Friends, family, and neighbors come out for some great music, food, fun, and Dickel cocktails, and we are excited to get to share that with them.” GN
