The newest food truck to grace Shelbyville offers a fresh take on traditional smash burgers and hotdogs, with some amazing side dishes.
When I heard about M•A•C Daddies Food Truck, with burgers topped with fried macaroni, I ran to find out how it was. To my absolute joy they’ve cracked the code and reinvented smash burgers. Not only have they crafted the perfect burger with sides such as cheeseburger egg rolls, and their fried Mac Pucks with signature Mac Sauce, this is the food truck to visit to take your tastebuds on an outstanding trip.
I approached this brand new, immaculately clean food truck with a crowd gathering at the order window. I ordered the M•A•C Daddy burger and promptly received my food without a long wait. Sitting on top of a bed of tater tots, this burger was massive and packed so much flavor into each bite. The fried macaroni offered a great crispy texture and was filled with creamy macaroni, unlike anything I’ve ever had on a normal burger. I devoured every bite and was completely stuffed, only to continue thinking of this burger many days after I first tasted it.

If something spicy is more your speed, try the Bad Hombre burger. Topped with creamy pepper jack mix, pepper jelly, and candied jalape.os, this may be right up your alley for a kick. Their Big Daddy Dawg should also be on your radar, with a . lb. deep-fried, all-beef frank topped with grilled onions, candied jalape.os, and pepper jack mix. They also serve patty melts and a grilled cheese on toasted sourdough, which you can make into a grilled cheeseburger.
With so many brand new options, some of which you’ve never had before, M•A•C Daddies Food Truck will always be a go-to food destination for a great lunch. Do as I did, and run to M•A•C Daddies. Your tastebuds will thank you. Be sure to also follow them on Facebook to keep track of their location for the day and to see other important posts. GN
