GOOD NEWS IS COMING TO DINNER! We will feature a local food critic’s thoughts as they dine in Manchester. This month, Shannon Beebe visited Hensley’s Sports Loft.
SATURDAY NIGHTS are made for places like Hensley’s Sports Loft, and this one absolutely delivered. Sitting right on the corner of Beans Creek Road and Highway 64 in Huntland, this new sports loft was about to be buzzing, for good reason. Between $1 wing night and live music by Brian Holder, the energy was exactly what you hoped for when you’re heading out with friends.

Let’s talk about food first, because these wings were the real deal. Huge, perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and saucy in the best way possible — the kind of wings where the sauce clings just right without making them soggy. We ordered multiple flavors, including hot and bourbon, and each one brought its own personality. The hot flavor had just the right kick without overpowering the taste, and the bourbon was rich, slightly sweet, and downright addictive. Add to it a side of fried okra, golden and crunchy, and you’ve got comfort food done right.

The vibe at Hensley’s Sports Loft is what really sets it apart. It felt like the whole town showed up, and yet it still felt welcoming rather than overwhelming. Live music by Brian Holder added the perfect soundtrack to the night, with great sound, a great atmosphere, and that laid-back Saturday-night feeling you can’t fake.

Between the food, live music, and good company, this was one of those nights you wish you could rewind and do again. If you’re anywhere near Huntland on a Saturday night, do yourself a favor and check it out. You’ll arrive hungry and leave happy. GN
