Talk of the Town Boutique on the Square is launching an extensive summer transformation inside Merle Norman Studio at 105 South Side Square. Planned interior and exterior renovations in July will optimize the layout, expand retail space, and enrich the downtown shopping experience for local families and clients.
The updates will modernize the storefront while preserving the historic architecture of the square. This sets the stage for a revitalized look ahead of the busy back-to-school, fall, and holiday seasons. To clear inventory for the expansion, the Talk of the Town boutique is hosting a pre-renovation sale throughout June. The event offers 50% off all Talk of the Town merchandise in-store (Merle Norman cosmetic products are excluded from the discount).

Owners Susan & Cas Huff emphasize that serving the community remains at the heart of
the business. By broadening the product selection and optimizing and updating the layout, the store aims to provide a comfortable, welcoming environment where shoppers can gather and find personalized care.
“This is such a fun season for us,“ Susan said. “We’re making room to reimagine the
space and create more opportunities for customers to shop, explore, and enjoy their time here.
I’m heading to the Atlanta market this month to handpick fresh inventory, and we’re excited for
everyone to see what’s waiting on the other side of this transformation.“
The upcoming remodel marks a major milestone for the downtown establishment. By upgrading the physical space, Huff continues to blend a personalized beauty experience with an
expanded shopping destination tailored directly to the needs of the Shelbyville community.
