IVY WREATH Florist and Gifts has long been known for beautiful arrangements and thoughtful gifts, but owner Tina Osgood believes flowers are about more than appearances.
“The beauty of flowers brings smiles to people,” a recent post read. “A gift of kindness.”
For Tina, the journey toward owning Ivy Wreath began with a friend in Nashville who operated a florist shop out of her garage. She started helping on the side, and it was there that she learned the art of weddings, baby showers, and shaping flowers into moments that would be photographed and remembered for decades.
She kept her full-time job while she helped out in the garage. Florals were extra — creative work layered on top of responsibility. Over time, though, the side work began to feel less like a hobby and more like a calling, leading her toward flowers and the kindness they bring to milestone events.
That spirit of kindness shows up not only in bouquets, but in the way Tina uses her platform and storefront to pour back into the Fayetteville community she loves so deeply.

So what changed? Her son graduated. Life shifted. Tina purchased part of the shop where she had been working. Eventually, she purchased the building in 2019. What began as a garage-based collaboration grew into Ivy Wreath, a storefront rooted in Fayetteville’s historic square.
This year marks 19 years since Tina has been part of the business. She admits it hasn’t always been easy. One example is the pandemic.
When doors closed and foot traffic vanished, Tina adapted, making porch deliveries and finding ways to keep flowers moving into homes even when gatherings were paused. Local customers showed up — ordering arrangements, buying gifts, and choosing to keep their dollars close to home. “Locals kept the business alive,” she said.
And alive it is — in fact, the business is blooming. Inside the shop, hydrangeas, Tina’s personal favorite, often take center stage. Seasonal decor rotates quickly; July 5 marks the unofficial start of fall inside Ivy Wreath. From Valentine’s Day to Halloween — her favorite holiday — the floral business plans almost a year in advance, carefully considering trends, traditions, and customer favorites.
But even with that forward planning, the heartbeat of the store remains people.
Tina loves seeing families celebrate milestones — from birth to graduation to weddings — and quietly walking alongside them in harder seasons as well. “We do things behind the scenes,” she said of her desire to serve beyond the sales counter. “I love them so much.”

Her team reflects that relational focus. Judy is the longest-serving employee. Tina also works alongside her best friend and said she considers everyone who works there family, not employees. When she underwent knee replacement surgery last year and stepped away for a month, her team stepped up and carried the store forward.
Kindness extends well beyond the storefront doors.
In January, Tina partnered with Fayetteville Main Street for a Valentine’s giveaway that included boutique favorites and two tickets to the community’s Chocolate Walk. From a Nora Fleming reusable bag to a Trapp candle and festive Valentine decor, the bundle encouraged shoppers to buy local and celebrate small businesses.
“Shopping local makes Valentine’s Day even sweeter,” the post read.
Community support works both ways. Ivy Wreath recently donated a “Flowers for a Year” package to raise funds for Unity School, reinforcing the store’s commitment to local students and families. “Supporting local students and families is at the heart of what we do,” the shop shared on Facebook, “and we’re grateful for the opportunity to make a difference — one bouquet at a time.”
Even everyday gifts become opportunities for impact. A simple arrangement paired with a St. Jude mug was described as “a gift of kindness,” reflecting Tina’s belief that flowers bring warmth wherever they land.

This year marked a major milestone: for the first time in 18 years, Ivy Wreath was voted the best florist in the area. The store also earned recognition for the best sales associate, awarded to Kathy Hobson — affectionately known as “Miss Kathy.”
Tina also connects with customers weekly on WYTM radio, sharing updates and keeping Ivy Wreath top of mind in a personal,
familiar way.
Online reviews echo what locals already know.
“One of my favorite shops! Can always find the best gifts!!” one customer shared. Another wrote, “I love always stopping in your shop when I visit Fayetteville! Unique items!”
That word — unique — matters to Tina.
“I want people to say, ‘I don’t see a shop like yours anywhere around,’” she said.
After nearly two decades in the business, through fires on the historic square, pandemic porch deliveries, and personal health challenges, Ivy Wreath continues to thrive because of the community surrounding it.
“I want to be remembered one day for my store — not just for the flowers or gifts, but for the kindness it represents,” Tina said.
