Forty-five years ago, a young man with a love for fine jewelry opened his first store in Tennessee. This October, Sabghi Jewelers is celebrating that milestone all month long, and the whole community is invited to join in. David Sabghi’s story with jewelry started long before he had a shop of his own. As a high school student, he worked in his grandfather’s jewelry store, where he started out repairing jewelry. That early work sparked a passion that has lasted a lifetime.
In 1981, David opened his first store, D&D Wholesale Jewelers, in Park City, Tennessee. In 1985, he moved to Fayetteville and renamed the business Sabghi Jewelers. Four years later, he opened a second store in Huntsville, Alabama. He married in 1988 and has two daughters, and in 2001, his wife, Nasrin, joined him in the business.

Today, the family-owned business serves customers from both its Fayetteville and Huntsville locations. Shoppers can find engagement rings, wedding bands, loose diamonds, watches, pearls, and gifts, as well as designer lines such as Gabriel & Co., Luvente, Samuel B, Lafonn, Julie Vos, Karen Lazar, Marathon, Bench Mark, Preowned Rolex, Citizen, Seiko, Beatriz Ball, and many more. The team also offers custom design, engraving, and jewelry repair, the same craft David learned as a teenager.
Over the years, Sabghi Jewelers has become known for more than sparkle. The store has supported Junior’s House Child Advocacy Center, the Alzheimer’s Association, local firefighters, and the Imagination Library, which provides free books to Lincoln County children from birth to age 5. Notes of thanks from these groups and from happy customers are proudly shared on the company’s website.
To mark 45 years, Sabghi Jewelers will celebrate throughout October, with an open house Oct. 15-17. It is a chance for longtime customers and new faces alike to stop in, look around, and thank a family that has been part of so many proposals, anniversaries, and special moments. Here’s to 45 years, and many more to come.
